1. Boat Trips and Cruises

  • Coastal Boat Tours: One of the best ways to appreciate the beauty of the bay is by taking a boat tour along the coast. These tours often include stops at secluded beaches, coves, and scenic spots that are only accessible by boat. Some tours even allow you to swim in crystal-clear waters or enjoy water sports such as snorkeling or diving.

  • Catamaran or Yacht Cruises: For a more luxurious experience, you can take a catamaran cruise or rent a private yacht to explore the bay and nearby coastal areas. These cruises often offer gourmet meals, drinks, and the opportunity to relax on the water.

2. The Batería de Castillitos

  • The Batería de Castillitos is a fascinating historical site located near Cartagena, in the Cabo Tiñoso area. It is a former coastal artillery battery built in the early 20th century to protect to protect the harbor of Cartagena from naval invasions. 

  • The site was decommissioned in the mid-20th century but remains one of the most interesting and preserved military structures in the region. It has been partially restored, and the site is now open to the public for visits. The site is a great place for photography, especially for fans of military history or anyone who enjoys stunning coastal landscapes.

3. Licor 43 factory

  • Licor 43 is a popular Spanish liqueur, known for its distinctive vanilla flavor, which comes from a secret recipe of 43 different ingredients. The liqueur was first produced in the 1940s and has become a symbol of Spanish culture, enjoyed both in cocktails and on its own.

  • The company offers guided tours of the factory, where you can learn about the history of the brand, the production process, and the unique ingredients that make up Licor 43.

4. Day trip to Murcia city

  • A short drive from the bay takes you to the region’s capital, Murcia City, which is known for its historical sites and cultural attractions, such as the Cathedral of Murcia, the Plaza Cardenal Belluga, and the Royal Casino of Murcia. 

  • The city is also famous for its lively markets, shopping areas, and of course its vibrant gastronomy (where tapas are an essential part of its food culture).

5. Excursion to Cartagena
